Good to know

Does it include lesson content?
No. Literacy Trail keeps lesson names, their order and what you record. You teach from your own materials.
Is this an official UFLI product?
No. Literacy Trail is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Florida Literacy Institute. The UFLI Foundations lesson sequence is set up so you can track teaching from the manual you already own.
Can I use it with a different reading program?
Yes. Create your own sequence or import your curriculum from a CSV.
How does review work?
You mark each lesson Needs support, Developing or Secure. Needs support comes back next session, Developing after a few sessions, and Secure moves on. You can change any of it.
Which plan should I pick?
Family if you teach your own children (up to 5). Educator for tutors, specialists and teachers, in bands of 25, 50, 100 students. School when several educators share one roster or you pay by invoice.
What do you store about students, and who can see it?
A first name is the only required field. A student is visible only to the account that added it and, on the School plan, to its organization. Student records are never sold, never used for advertising and never used to train machine learning models, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Your first 3 lessons or 7 days are free with no card. Then you pick a plan and add a card, which starts a 15-day free trial; nothing is charged until it ends.
What happens if I do not pick a plan?
Nothing is deleted. Everything you recorded stays readable and exportable; recording new sessions needs a plan.
